How do I set up my artwork?Create your file in CMYK mode with a resolution of at least 300 dpi. If your file has been created in RGB or includes RGB objects, we recommend converting the file to CMYK. Please include a bleed of .125" in your art, for example if the finish size is 24"x36", your file size should be 24.25"x36.25". Your artwork should reflect only what you need to be printed in the final product. Before you upload your artwork, be sure your artwork is sent in the same size or ratio as your order. In order to provide you the fastest turn around, all artworks for Large Format products are sent directly to press. We will not be responsible for any reprints if your file is sent in a different size or ratio other than the measurements specified in your order. If you are working with vector images (in programs like Adobe Illustrator), the final size artwork is not necessary unless you have placed photographs into your document. Then the above guidelines will apply. All fonts should be converted to curves or outlines. We suggest your files to be flatten or rasterized if possible to minimize the file size. We accept the following file formats: EPS, TIF, PSD, & PDF files. JPG files are accepted, but they must be prepared properly (It's strongly suggested that the JPG is created the closest size possible to the final print size).

What is 4 Color Process?4-Color Process is the most widely used method for printing full-color images. All commercial printers use the 4-Color Process method for projects that contain multi-colored designs or photographs. This includes books, catalogs, manuals, magazines, brochures, postcards and any other printed items that contain full color images. Because of its widespread use in both offset and digital printing, 4-Color Process is much more affordable today than in years past. As its name implies, 4 ink colors are used in 4-Color Process printing. These four colors are Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black…which are known collectively as CMYK. In fact, 4-Color Process printing is frequently referred to as CMYK printing. It is also known as Four Color Printing, 4CP, Full Color Printing, or simply Process Printing. Viewing a full color image under magnification will show the distinct CMYK dots Full-color images are created on the printing press by applying separate layers of the Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black inks. Thousands of colors can be reproduced by overlapping these CMYK colors in various concentrations. Applied as tiny dots on the paper (or other substrate), the four CMYK colors combine to create the visual effect we know as full color printing. Look at the photographs in a printed magazine or brochure under strong magnification and you will see the distinct CMYK dots.
